Michael Moritz, born in Germany in 1989, was a banker and studied economics with a focus on tourism. Most recently, he developed adventure tours in the Alps for an tour operator and taught at the University of Applied Sciences in Saarbrücken. At the beginning of 2019, he ended his career and began to travel slowly around the world with his camera in his luggage. After his participation as a protagonist in the ARTE documentary "On the Way to Santiago" (2019), he is working, together with Anna Baranowski and funded by the Thuringian Cultural Foundation and Academy of the Arts, on a book about his time in Nepal parallel to the film, which will be published by MALIK in summer 2022.
